About Us
Chelsea Walker is a certified Speech-Language Pathologist (“SLP”) and trained endoscopist. After Chelsea graduated from Wichita State with her Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology, Chelsea began to specialize in the field of swallowing and swallowing disorders in the adult and pediatric populations in the medical setting (acute inpatient and outpatient).
She is trained in x-ray swallow studies (Videofluoroscopic Swallowing Studies/Modified Barium Swallow Studies), as well as FEES (Fiberoptic/Flexible Endoscopic Evaluations of Swallowing).
Chelsea founded ScopeICT so that those in Wichita and the surrounding communities could have easier access to diagnostic tools that have the potential to improve their quality of life after events such as stroke, brain injury, surgery, and other medical conditions that affect swallowing.
The ability to eat and drink is ingrained into many cultures, and the ability to swallow safely and efficiently so that food and drink can be enjoyed is something that Chelsea loves to assist in restoring.
